I am Sreejith, a certified yoga instructor with over ten years of experience, and I’ve had the privilege of training in Marma Reflexology therapy. My passion for authentic Indian yoga and traditional reflexology inspired me to start Sree’s Yoga and Reflexology (Marma) in Fort Kochi, where I aim to share the benefits of these ancient practices with others.
Born in Kerala, India, in 1987, I was introduced to yoga at a young age by my grandfather, Krishnan Gopalan. This early experience planted the seed for what would become a lifelong journey of learning and teaching yoga. Seeking to deepen my understanding, I was fortunate to study under various masters across India, including learning the Bihar School of Yoga style from Shirish Guptha Ji in Varanasi and Rishikesh. I also had the opportunity to study Kriya Yoga and meditation under the guidance of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev at the Isha Yoga Foundation in Coimbatore. In addition, I pursued training in reflexology at the Jiva Spa Training School in Banaras and the International Institute of Wellness and Hospitality (IIWH)
My journey in yoga has taken me across India, where I have been fortunate to share the practice with communities in villages and schools. In 2010, I was honored to receive the title of "Yoga Shiromani" from the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy, an institution affiliated with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Canada. I am also grateful to have been recognized by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, a respected Member of Parliament in India, for my efforts in promoting yoga.
In 2014, I traveled to the Caribbean to teach yoga, spending two years at Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia. Later, in 2016, I was invited by the English actor and director, Steven Berkoff, to teach yoga to his colleagues in London, including at Pineapple Studio in Covent Garden. I also had the unique opportunity to be a guest instructor on "World Residence at Sea," the largest residential cruise ship in the world. Since then, I have been fortunate to continue teaching in various parts of the world, including the United States, France, and Germany, and to work as a yoga instructor and reflexologist with international resort groups like Taj Hotels in India and Jumeirah Groups in the Maldives.
